These are all of our horses at 2RV Farm! There is a brief caption above each picture. We have two types of horses on the farm... paint horses and quarter horses. For each picture, I have included the horse's foal date,i.e. their birthday, and a quick family history. Over the years my parents have gone to auctions and shows, but usually do not buy a horse through those types of events. My dad has a huge collection of Quarter Horse Journal magazines and Paint Horse Journal magazines. In each issue there are announcements of upcomming events and several advertisements for readers to buy. Usually this is where most of the legit trading and breeding of horses occurrs. For example, if a reader was interested in a particular horse they would write or fax the address and number made available to them within the ad of the prospective horse. Then the owner would send the hopeful buyer a video tape of the horse. The reader then makes a decission and eventually some sort of deal is made! Of course, it is not always that simple and there are several other ways of buying and breeding..but those are the basics. With nine horses, my dad does a lot of reading in those magazines. I guess it is kinda like a woman with a shoe fetish!! To inquire more details please write to us: 2RV FARM 8618 Savannah Hwy. Adams Run, S.C. 29426.
